Familians push for healthy diet

Last July 21, 2017, Holy Family School celebrated the annual Nutrition month with the theme, “Healthy Diet—Gawing habit for life”

The day started with a colorful parade from the kindergarten pupils who were dressed in their fruit or vegetable costumes. The program was commenced by Mrs. Jacob, followed by an exercise dance led by the Grades 4 and 5 pupils. There were also dance presentations and fashion shows participated by the Kinders 1 and 2 pupils. The last group to showcase their talent was the Grade 2 level. The first part of the program ended with the announcement of winners by the principal, Mrs. Milagros Madriaga, along with Mrs. Carmencita Villarey, Math Coordinator.

To begin the second part of the program, the Grade 9 students shared their video presentation, followed by a prayer hymn sung by selected Grade 12 students. A symposium was also held in which the school physician, Dr. Ana Lyn L. Paterno, MD, discussed about the benefits of healthy eating habits.

Other activities such as line art, photography contest, and cooking competition were also participated in by students. After that fruitful and memorable day, Familians are now more knowledgeable about how true wealth is gained by taking care of one's health.
