In line with the celebration of Teachers’ Month, a commemoration program hosted by the Supreme Student Government, was held at the HFS Familian court last October 8.

The program was formally opened through an opening prayer led by the SSG officers. Thereafter, emcees, Michaella and Abby Gayle Pandaan introduced AVEC, a band from the Grade 11 batch who entertained the Faculty and Staff with classic rock songs namely, Sweet Child O' Mine by Guns & Roses and Eye Of The Tiger by Survivor.

After AVEC’s performance, Grade 10 students, Nirvana Ombid and Ghenna Garcia performed a short interpretation of Disney's animated movie, Princess and The Frog to open the segment of class advisers, subject teachers and coordinators, maintenance personnel, administrators, and the SSJ Sisters going up on stage, as student representatives expressed their gratitude and regards to the said individuals for being patient and devoted members of the Familian community.

As soon as the heartwarming interaction between the students and the teachers finished, Ensayaw brought life to the students and FAS members with their fiery dance routine. Consequently, Michaella and Abby introduced the highlight of the program which was Maestro Viente Dieciocho or "Teacher 2018", a friendly pageant competition between the faculty and staff members where each candidate was chosen from each department. Before the segment officially started, the judges for the pageant, SSG Secretary- Erika Arroyo, SSG Vice President-Thea Monfort, and SSG President- Chelzee Vasquez, were first introduced.

In the middle of the pageant, the Dulaang Salamisim and the SSG and SPG officers took the stage and presented an intermission skit showing the teachers' caring intentions despite their strict demeanor, and a dance number, respectively, further enhancing the meaning of the celebration.

Before the announcement of winners, the SSG's pre-show vlog was presented which showcased the behind-the-scene footage featuring how the event was put together.

Finally, the celebration ended with the announcement of winners for Maestro Viente Dieciocho and valuable lessons, remembering the worth and value of each faculty and staff member as the guide of students to their futures.
