Ensayaw joins MYX Moves

During the morning assembly on August 11, 2017, Mrs. Lubrin announced to all that MYX, a TV Channel dedicated to broadcasting music videos, will visit Holy Family School for the promotion and the recording of the performance of Ensayaw, the dance troupe of HFS, as they prepare for the Semi-Final round of MYX Moves.

Later during recess, Ensayaw performed before their fellow Familians the dance they prepared for MYX Moves. The Familians cheered and this made the dance team determined to do their best.

“As a person who is appreciative of dance because of K-pop, Ensayaw’s choreography really struck me during that day. They kind of remind me of a few awesome girl groups in K-pop which I like very much,” Kaitlyn Ravana, a Grade 8 student, said.

After the dance, Beng-beng distributed chocolates to Familians who gladly lined up for the delicious treat. Some received more than one chocolate bar; some received a whole box. The Familians did not know that, a moment later, an unexpected guest would arrive that would make their hearts beat faster.

Jairus Aquino, a Filipino actor from ABS-CBN, made an entrance to the Familian court. Familians squealed, their hearts leaping with happiness. Many took pictures and asked for signatures. Some asked for hugs, which Jairus gladly gave.

Ensayaw would later on compete in the MYX Moves Street Dance Competition Semi-Finals at Ayala Malls South Park on September 17.
