Familian Spikers bag individual awards


Consequent to the championship game was the awarding ceremony for the outstanding teams and players at the Familian Stage, Friday.

The Familian Spikers gained four awards alongside their 3rd AAPS championship title, namely Best Setter - Keem Jacob, Best Receiver - Sigrid Amorin, Best Spiker - Alyssa Angkaw, and the season MVP - Tricia Balagat.

Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral School (ICCS), being the second runner up in the girls division, claimed the Best Server award and St. Joseph’s College (SJC), first runner up, Best Blocker.

The Familian Spikers in the elementary girls division bagged the first runner up title with the Best Setter, Best Spiker, and Best Server awards. St. Mary’s College (SMC) placed third gaining Best Libero, and Best Blocker. The season MVP, and Best Receiver awardees came from the champions, SJC.

Meanwhile, in the high school boys division, ICCS clinched the AAPS District 4 title followed by SJC and Trinity University of Asia (TUA). ICCS claimed the season MVP, Best Blocker, Best Setter, Best Spiker, and the Best Receiver awards. The Best Blocker and Best Server awards were given to TUA and SJC respectively.

SJC’s elementary boys team clinched the championship title followed the first runner up, ICCS.
