UN Day celebration exemplifies unity and diversity
The unity among different races, religions, and nations was made evident on the celebration of the United Nations Day, simultaneous with the MAPEH day celebration last October 24, 2017, exemplified by the theme “Unity in Diversity”.
The program started with the parade of muses, each representing a particular country, from each class in the elementary and high school department, donning the widely known costumes of their country. Accompanying the muses, the respective classes waved their flags, with some of them wearing outfits that fit their theme.
During the two-day celebration, numerous classes showcased exhibits that depict the life, history, and culture of their assigned countries, through replicas of artifacts, mini plays, famous attractions, and the like. Banderitas, with fun facts about the countries printed on them, were also hung on the corridors.
The exhibits were critiqued and awarded accordingly. The winners are as follows:
