Familian Spikers battle to snatch 22nd WVL title
The Familian Spikers produced a 25-23, 25-22 sweep against the volleyball varsity team of St. Paul College of Makati to conclude the Women’s Volleyball League (WVL) championship in the 13 Under Developmental Division, without a scratch, last March 11, 2018, Sunday, at the San Beda University, Manila.
Marielle Llorente was declared Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Ianna Reyes as the Best Server for the said league.
The Spikers placed fourth in the 18 Under Developmental Division after losing to St. Dominic Savio College in the battle for third place, 19-25, 24-26. The team’s representatives in the 18 Under Competitive Division were eliminated by the Kings Montessori School in the elimination round.
The players were recognized for their outstanding performances during the morning assembly on the 12th of March, 2018, Monday, by Mrs. Marilyn Lubrin, the Student Affairs Coordinator.
