Holy Family School out power Our Lady Of Sacred Heart School

Familian Spikers continued their scratch-less campaign last Wednesday after a 25-10, 25-19 win against Our Lady of Sacred Heart School (OLSHS) at the Familian court.

Hardly getting any resistance from OLSHS’s volleyball varsity team, the Spikers found it easy to pull away even after a service ace and an attack was thrown their way fresh into the match by Asayo at 12-6.

Angkaw’s consistent performance out of 2 attacks followed by 3 service aces left her team’s opponent wounded, giving them no chance to score half by the end of the first set, 25-10.

OLSHS’s Ebora was able to stop the bleeding of her team with 3 consecutive aces, freezing the Spikers’ momentum, 3-6 but Gwen Lubrin refused to put out the fire therefore serving 6 heavy aces after San Lorenzo sent them at an 8-all tie in the deciding second set.

Another team-up from San Lorenzo’s attack with Gwen Lubrin’s ace sent them to a 3-0 standing and their opponents home with a straight-set loss.

Angkaw lead the Spikers with 8 points alongside Navarro and Lacay who scored 7 points apiece while Ebora made 3 points from her service aces for OLSHS.
